  • A rally was held yesterday afternoon in Pueblo in an effort to save East High School from closing. KOAA reports, school district 60 is considering consolidating East high with other schools because of issues with the building. Dozens gathered outside the D60 Administration Building as a stakeholder group inside discussed a list options for the district. KOAA says several people at the rally want the district to pass a bond measure and keep all four of its high schools open. The school board has not made any decisions yet...
     
  • The Fine Arts Center at Colorado College is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. What is now the Fine Arts Center began as The Broadmoor Art Academy in 1919 in the former home of Colorado Springs philanthropists Julie and Spencer Penrose. By the 1930s it had grown in prominence and become a major force in art instruction and the arts in general.
