Miles Davis was one of the most influential jazz musicians in the history of jazz - he was at the forefront of cool jazz, hard bop, modal jazz, orchestral arrangements, and jazz-fusion.

His decline began in the mid-1970s, from which he never recovered during the 70s and 80s.  This week we’ll hear selections from his various periods, and explore the genius of Mile Davis' career.

The Jazz Excursion is heard on 91.5 KRCC Sunday evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
