91.5 KRCC News Wins Three PRNDI Awards

91.5 KRCC News has received three awards from PRNDI, Public Radio News Directors Incorporated. The national organization annually recognizes top journalism from throughout the public radio network.

Reporter Abigail Beckman received two awards for her work regarding the uptick in fatalities on Colorado Springs roads. Her piece, "'Just An Accident, Right?' COS Faces Deadliest Year Ever On City Roads," received a second place award among small stations in the category of news features. She was also recognized among small stations with a first place award for best writing.

Jake Brownell also received an award. His interview, "Growing Up Gay In Focus On The Family," took home second place among small stations in the interview category.

At its recent annual conference, PRNDI honored the best journalism in 2018 among public radio stations across the country. 91.5 KRCC is proud to be included among those recognitions.
