FAQ’s About KRCC’s Weekend Programming Answered

Here a few frequently asked questions about KRCC's weekend programming that are answered for you....

Why did you change your weekend schedule?

KRCC and CPR have aligned our weekend schedules to ensure listeners across the state will receive a continuous experience along Colorado’s entire I-25 corridor from Wyoming to New Mexico. The programs are aligned with listener interest and provide a wide range of programming throughout the weekend.

Why have you changed the times of some shows?

We regularly evaluate our audience behavior and needs, and often make schedule changes to better serve our listeners across the state. Schedule changes are timed with ongoing evaluations of our standards and priorities.

Why have you eliminated Live from Here with Chris Thile?

American Public Media has ended production of Live from Here with Chris Thile. All that would be available from this point forward are repeat shows/performances which are available through streaming services.

Why have you eliminated Thomas Jefferson Hour?

We regularly evaluate our audience behavior and needs and often make schedule changes to better serve our listeners across the state. Program additions and deletions are timed with an ongoing evaluation of station standards and priorities. These changes will ensure that listeners across the state will receive a continuous news and entertainment experience along Colorado’s entire I-25 corridor.

If these changes don’t offer convenient times for you to listen to the programs you like, you can explore other ways to listen through on-demand services available at www.krcc.org. Many of the national programs we broadcast have podcasts and online listening libraries on their websites with streaming available any time.

KRCC and CPR are focusing on providing the kind of service in Colorado Springs and southern Colorado that is provided throughout the rest of the state - curated professional music and curated professional news programming are our focus.
