  • Around 200 people attended a forum last night in Colorado Springs aimed at civilian oversight of the city's police department. The forum comes after the fatal shooting of 19-year-old De'Von Bailey by police in August. A grand jury eventually cleared the officers of any possible wrongdoing.   • A bill that aims to boost immunization rates and make it more difficult for Colorado parents to opt their children out of vaccinations is expected to be introduced at the state capitol.  Colorado Public Radio reports the bill would require parents who want to opt out to get a signed document from a medical professional or watch an online video, produced by the state Department of Public Health and Environment. Right now, parents simply submit a form to a child’s school.  The proposal would not eliminate non-medical or personal belief exemptions.  Gov. Jared Polis’ office said that as it stands, he backs the measure.
