New Weekend Programming to Follow Keillor’s Retirement

A Prairie Home Companion, now in its 41st season of production, will present the last live broadcast with Garrison Keillor as host from the Hollywood Bowl on KRCC Saturday, July 2nd at 6pm (final repeat Sunday, July 3rd at 1pm). 

Beginning Saturday, July 9th, KRCC will feature a new line-up of weekend programs including The Dinner Party DownloadOn the MediaAsk Me AnotherLive Wire,  and Reveal. Take a look at the new schedule here.

The Dinner Party Download is a fast and funny hour of culture, food and conversation designed to help you win your weekend dinner parties. NPR’s Ask Me Another brings the lively spirit and healthy competition of your favorite trivia night right to your ears with a rotating cast of funny people, puzzle writers and VIP guests, and Live Wire is a one-hour radio show recorded in front of a live audience at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Oregon. 

Weekend news programming on KRCC will be supplemented with On the Media, which covers anything that reaches a large audience—either electronically or otherwise, and Reveal, the Peabody Award-winning investigative journalism program for public radio created by The Center for Investigative Reporting.

Other changes to listen for include the addition of the BBC Newshour weekdays at 1pm starting Monday, July 4th, and the Sunday evening music line-up with Reggae beginning at 8pm and Music Mix at 10pm.
