- The State Board of Education has approved new graduation requirements for high school seniors graduating in the year 2021. As Bente Birkeland reports, Colorado is one of the last states to adopt standards.
- A new study says people in the pre-Hispanic American Southwest consumed caffeine through holly and cacao-based chocolate drinks that came in through trade routes stretching hundreds of miles into modern-day Mexico and the American South. Researchers in the study led by an anthropologist at the University of New Mexico found caffeine on shards from jars, bowls, and pitchers located at sites throughout present day Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. The study is published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
